Miami Physical Therapist – Physical Therapy Services

Our Services

Vestibular Therapy

Vestibular therapy is a specialized form of treatment designed to help patients experiencing dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, and inner-ear related conditions.

Through targeted exercises and movement retraining, therapy helps improve balance, reduce fall risk, and restore stability during daily activities. Each program is customized based on the patient’s symptoms and functional limitations.

Vestibular therapy can be beneficial for conditions such as positional vertigo, motion sensitivity, post-concussion dizziness, and other balance-related disorders affecting mobility and confidence.

Our Treatment Approach

Treatment begins with a detailed evaluation of balance, eye movement, and positional symptoms to determine exactly what’s driving the dizziness – whether that’s BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Meniere’s disease, a lingering effect of concussion, or general age-related decline in the balance system.

Therapists then use gaze stabilization exercises to retrain the connection between the eyes and inner ear, habituation exercises that gradually reduce sensitivity to provoking movements, and canalith repositioning maneuvers for BPPV specifically. Balance retraining on progressively challenging surfaces rounds out the plan, rebuilding the stability needed for real-world activities.

What to Expect

The first step is listening: understanding when the dizziness started, what triggers it, and how it’s affecting daily life, since no two patients experience vestibular dysfunction the same way.

From there, a treatment plan is built around the specific findings of the evaluation rather than a generic dizziness protocol, because a program that works well for BPPV won’t necessarily help someone with vestibular neuritis or post-concussion dizziness.

Sessions are adjusted as symptoms improve, with home exercises assigned to reinforce progress between visits.

Why It Works

The brain has a remarkable ability to compensate for inner ear dysfunction when it’s given the right kind of practice, which is why vestibular therapy focuses on controlled, repeated exposure to the movements and positions that provoke symptoms rather than simply avoiding them.

Losing your balance or feeling unsteady is more common than most people realize, but it’s the fear of falling – more than the dizziness itself – that tends to keep people from the activities they enjoy.

Getting to the root cause, rather than just learning to cope with it, is what allows patients to move confidently again.

I’ve had a truly positive experience with Physical Therapy Services. From the moment I walked in, I was met with professionalism and care. The staff (Hermi y Zuhe) are exceptionally well-prepared and knowledgeable, always taking the time to explain each step of the process and tailor treatment to individual needs. What stood out most was the respectful and compassionate way they treat every patient—creating a welcoming, supportive environment that makes a real difference in the healing process. They will create a hopeful environment and give high positive expectations to patients that feel lost in pain. I’m very grateful for the high-quality care I received and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy. With no doubt, I would return if I would need it.
Fantastic facility, great PT, wonderful experience. I received excellent assessment, plan and management from the team.

They're very professional. They explain what's causing your pain and why the exercises are being performed. I went for calcified tendonitis that was going to end in surgery. That's what they told me. I learned to exercise with therapy and I'm pain-free.
Now I'm in therapy for plantar fasciitis, and in two weeks I've improved what I couldn't achieve in a year doing YouTube therapy, using shoes and insoles. Highly recommended. Plus, you can always tell they're studying and updating.

Dr Jara and his assistant Nadia are extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable. I have had numerous injuries while playing sports and an unfortunate cycling accident where I researched a reliable and attentive physical therapist. Based on their outstanding reviews, I decided to make an appointment. The Physical Therapy practice schedules their patients where there are only two or three at a time. Unlike other locations where you are one of many (12+) and you are waiting for the therapist to attend you. I strongly recommend this practice for their knowledge and professionalism.

This physical therapy is the best I have been and I have been in many. The staff is super nice and professional. The owner itself, Hermi, is always present at the business and has a lot of experience and knowledge, and really care for you. I went to this place with a lot of pain after a meniscus repair surgery and I was fine within a few days, I was improving by day a lot every time I was going to the therapy. I never saw such great results and such good treatment in the past in other places. I will be back to this place without thinking twice if I ever need therapy again.
