Miami Physical Therapist – Physical Therapy Services

Physical Therapist Near You in Edgewater, FL

We’ve served members of the Edgewater community and greater Miami-Dade County for over 25 years – including patients from neighboring Midtown, Wynwood, and the Arts and Entertainment District. We provide personalized, one-on-one physical therapy services focused on helping patients move better, recover safely, and stay active in a neighborhood built around an urban lifestyle.

Edgewater has grown rapidly over the past decade, drawing a younger, fitness-oriented crowd into its high-rises along Biscayne Bay. We’ve seen an uptick in patients from this area dealing with gym-related injuries and overuse conditions – the kind that come from training hard without enough recovery time built in.

Your Physical Therapy Appointment

What to Expect at Your First Visit

A licensed physical therapist will complete a one-on-one evaluation, including a subjective interview and an objective movement exam, to understand the source of your issue. From there, a personalized plan of care is developed, with most patients attending two to three visits per week over a four-to-six-week course of treatment, with progress reassessed along the way.

FAQ

1. Do I Need a Referral to Start Physical Therapy?

Many patients can begin treatment without a physician referral, depending on their insurance plan and condition. We can help verify your eligibility before your first visit.

2.Will my insurance cover physical therapy?

We accept most major insurance plans and can help you understand your coverage, benefits, and any expected out-of-pocket costs before starting care.

3. What Should I Bring to My Appointment?

Please bring your prescription/referral (if applicable), insurance card, and photo ID. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
